Conference & Expo Update
We recently returned from two weeks of work on the Conference & Expo in Lake Las Vegas. Well, almost all work, the place is just too incredible to not slip in a little play. We are happy to report plans are well underway to make this event unforgettable. The Ritz Carlton is already famous for its customer service, but it is going above and beyond to welcome all of you to the lake this summer. In addition to the incredible room rate, they have waived the resort fee. This means free access to the fitness center, Internet, beach, driving range and more. Our trip also enabled us to meet with dance professionals, Dolly Kelepecz, Fern Adair and J.V. Goecke, and we are thrilled to announce that all three will be joining the conference faculty!

Industry Innovator
We’re pleased to have Julie Davis as part of the DTW team. Julie has been a writer and editor for over 20 years and is a health and fitness specialist. She was the first editor-in-chief of American Cheerleader, and Dance Spirit magazines, and when their publisher bought Dance Teacher and Stage Directions magazines, Julie revamped them both to answer the needs of their growing readership. She first brought the pages of Dance Teacher magazine to life at its summer conference, started in 2001. Today, she is working with us to create a new teacher training experience, emphasizing the philosophy we’ve developed, first as professional dancers, then as teachers and studio owners. Our focus is on you. Our faculty represents the country’s best “teachers’ teachers.” We’ve also made our event affordable because we don’t want a challenging economy to keep you from getting vital information to improve your skills and grow your business. Your students depend on you. You can depend on us.
